About VisaHelm
VisaHelm is an independent UAE company that prepares and manages Portugal D7 and D8 applications for UAE residents, in English and Arabic, from the first chat to the residence card.
Who we are
VisaHelm helps people living in the UAE move to Portugal on the D7 and D8 visas. We are based in Abu Dhabi and work with clients across the Emirates, in English and Arabic.
We're built for retirees and pensioners, landlords and investors, remote employees, freelancers and founders, whether they come from India, Pakistan, Egypt, the Levant, the Philippines, the UK, Russia or anywhere else. What they share is a plan to build a second home base in Europe.
Why we started
Moving a family to another country is one of the biggest decisions you'll make. It deserves accurate information.
Too much of what's advertised in the UAE isn't. We see promises of guaranteed visas, "citizenship in 5 years" when the law now says 10 for most non-EU nationals, and income figures below the real thresholds. People plan their lives around those numbers.
We started VisaHelm to be the precise, calm option: correct figures, a clear process and honest answers.
What we stand for
- Dated figures, in AED. Every threshold we publish carries its year. When the rules change, we update.
- Honesty about limits. No one can guarantee a visa. We say so, and then we do everything in our control to make your application strong.
- All the way to the residence card. We don't stop at the visa. We stay with you through the AIMA stage in Portugal.
- Plain language, in your language. Clear answers in English or Arabic, without jargon.
- Care with your documents. Your passport and bank statements go through a secure upload link, never over WhatsApp.
How we work
Our UAE team prepares and manages your application: eligibility, documents, attestation guidance, your VFS appointment, the application pack and the AIMA residence-card stage. Your NIF, Portuguese bank account and fiscal representation are coordinated through our provider in Portugal.
You talk to real people on WhatsApp, usually with a reply on the same working day. Our fees are fixed, in AED, and paid in stages. Government fees are passed through at cost.
What we are not
VisaHelm is an independent private company. We are not a law firm and we don't give legal or tax advice. We are not affiliated with the Government of Portugal, its embassies or consulates, AIMA, VFS Global or the UAE Government. Visa and residence decisions are made solely by the Portuguese authorities.
You can also apply directly through the official channels. We exist for people who want an expert to prepare and manage the process with them.
